Organic Tea Honeybush
14 x 1.3 g
A secret from South Africa, shimmering like dark
gold in your cup. Its sweet taste is reminiscent of
bee nectar and strongly resembles its "big brother"
Rooibos. Honeybush, whose golden blossoms are
swarmed by bees, probably owes its name to this.
Wild Honeybush cannot be cultivated
and is therefore only available in limited quantities. During
the spring harvest, the bushes glow yellow and
emit a sweet honey aroma. The harvest takes place every
three years by hand, mainly in the provinces of Western Cape and
Eastern Cape, where it is also known as Cape Tea.
