Organic Tea Honeybush

A secret from South Africa, shimmering like dark gold in the cup. The sweet taste is reminiscent of bee nectar and is strongly related to its "big brother" Rooibos. The honeybush, whose golden blossoms are swarmed by bees, probably owes its name to them. The wild honeybush cannot be cultivated and is therefore only available in limited quantities. During the harvest season in spring, the bushes glow yellow and exude a sweet honey aroma. The harvest takes place every three years by hand, mainly in the provinces of Western Cape and Eastern Cape, where it is also known as Cape Tea.
