Hazelnuts sliced thinly. A versatile ingredient in sweet and savoury recipes. Just like most of the world's harvest, our nectaflor Hazelnuts come from the Turkish Black Sea coast, also dubbed the ~Hazelnut Coast~. Thanks to the mild and balanced climate they flourish particularly well there. The hazelnuts are harvested and sun-dried in late summer, mostly by hand. They are cracked open and sorted shortly before transporting them to Switzerland. These superior hazelnuts are finely ground right before packaging in Biel, which guarantees optimum freshness. A classic baking ingredient, nectaflor ground Hazelnuts are indispensable in traditional baked goods such as chocolate cake, Tyrolean cake and fruit flans.
